Le gare per moto derivate dalla serie nacquero in America nei primissimi anni ’70 e ben presto approdarono anche in Europa, con la Formula C750 ed in Italia con le classiche gare di durata. Tra le moto più competitive figurarono sin da subito le tricilindriche inglesi Triumph Trident 750 cc. In Italia è l'importatore ufficiale Bepi Koelliker a promuovere le Triumph nelle gare di durata nazionali ed internazionali; per la parte tecnica, si affida ai fratelli Pettinari ed i successi non tardano ad arrivare. La moto proposta è dotata dello straordinario e rarissimo telaio fabbricato dallo specialista Stelio Belletti. Questa moto Fu una delle tre moto approntate dal Team Koelliker per il Bol D’Or del 1972, venne in seguito utilizzata come “muletto” per testare le varie soluzioni tecniche del Team. Oggi è dotata di motore in configurazione standard, con cambio a 5 velocità, l'impianto frenante è Lockheed Racing con tre dischi in- stallati su bellissimi e preziosi cerchi in magnesio a sette razze. Una moto desiderabile sia per la cura con la quale è stata preparata che per la sua assoluta rarità. ENGLISH: The first races specifically organized for derivatives of standard production motorcycles were held in America at the start of the 1970s and they soon arrived in Europe too, with the Formula C750 races, and in Italy in the form of classic endurance races. From the outset, the most competitive bikes included the Triumph Trident 750 cc. In Italy it was the official importer Bepi Koelliker who promoted Triumph in national and international races; he recruited the Pettinari brothers to look after the technical side, and thereafter success was not slow in coming. The motorbike offered for sale, which sports an extraordinary and very rare chassis produced by specialist Stelio Belletti, was one of three bikes pre- pared by Koelliker’s team for the 1972 Bol D’Or; it was subsequently used to test the team’s various technical solutions. Today, it is equipped with an en- gine in the standard configuration, with a five-speed gearbox. It has a Lockheed Racing braking system with three disks installed on beautiful and prized sev- en-spoke magnesium wheels.
